Kate mainly assists Chris Wood and James King with dry shipping matters including charterparty disputes (time, voyage and bareboat) and cargo claims both in LMAA Arbitration and the High Court.
During her time at Winter Scott Kate has assisted in obtaining Arbitration Awards on behalf of clients in relation to a broad range of matters including laytime and demurrage, speed and performance and bunkers disputes.
Kate has also been involved in the enforcement of Awards in a number of jurisdictions including Egypt, India and Singapore.
Kate joined Winter Scott as a paralegal in October 2018 and started her training contract in July 2019.
Kate obtained a 2:1 LLB degree and thereafter achieved a distinction in the Legal Practice Course.
