Glenn Winter

Senior Partner

Glenn Winter has specialised in maritime law for over 30 years, during which time he has handled hundreds of London Arbitrations and many high profile Court cases (including The Starsin, The Stena Pacific, The Holstencruiser, The Paiwan Wisdom and The Ocean Victory).

Glenn has also represented Clients in some 40 mediations and has given expert evidence on English Law to foreign courts in a number of cases, most notably to the Tribunal de Grande Instance on behalf of Total Transport Corporation.

Glenn primarily represents owners, charterers, oil companies, P&I Clubs and other underwriters. He played a major role in drafting the New York Produce Exchange Inter-Club Agreement 1996 and the Rules of a major P&I Club. He has also assisted in drafting a number of pro forma charterparties for oil companies and other Clients.

Glenn studied law at the University of Oxford and has taught law at the University of Illinois.

Glenn has been consistently recognised by Chambers and Partners, Legal 500 and Who’s Who Legal as one of the leading shipping lawyers worldwide. He was the Who’s Who Legal Shipping Lawyer of the Year (worldwide) 2017.
