James’ main areas of practice are charterparty disputes and cargo claims. He was called to the Bar in 1996 and was admitted as a Solicitor in 2001. James has also worked abroad on secondment for a leading P&I Club, and a major shipowner in the US.

James is a graduate of Southampton University, and has an LLM in Maritime Law from University College London.
